The Fool

Get down!
get up!
get off!
                         so (cir)clodelic this
                                           here
                                       poet   man
                                           jazz

that twirls

                      in smokey swirl(cle)s
                                     in conscious
                                           razz-z-ma-tazz!
      these
          fingers
                 dancing
                         on these
                                 keys

    these words leap to light!

                dancing
       flamelike       fingers
                 casting
                      shadows
                             on
                          the night!

the dance:   a song
     as soon as sung
                   springs in
                            mindless flight!

                 flutters slowly overhead
                                and
                                    dwindles
                                   now
                                     from
                                       sight!

far out!
far in!
               the  poet  plays his tune
                           recalls an ancient
         history
                                 as mystical
                                   buffoon
