A RAINBOW'S DREAM
BEFORE_THE_BEGINNING
In
the depths of the sea
Within
the clouds
Within
the earth
A
rainbow stretches

are
fish the colors of the moon
which
move about like
tranquil
thoughts;
are
birds the colors of the sun
whose
songs are sparkles
of
unseparated light;
the
colors of the night
are
sculptured in stone
sepulchres
of moments
memories
of the dance of flame;
from
earth to sea
bearing
a dream of nascent reality
--the
hint of lightning
in
its continuum of
distinct
colors.

birth as well as death
on
untroubled waters

Creation

_____________
THE_BEGINNING
In
a moment
the
water has stirred
the
clouds have parted
the
earth is rent
the
rainbow vanishes;
lightning
flashes
from
earth to cloud
and
back again
rain
falls
mists
rise
sun
& moon move
in
starry skies.
dawn
brings the first bird's song
a
cricket chirps
the
first flower turns its head
toward
the first sunrise

Twilight brings the owl's hoot fireflies flicker the dance of life goes on circling about itself. |
Night
draws the color
back
into its bosom
the
repose of night is in
the
blink of an eye.
the
dance goes on
and
on
and
on

THERE
IS NO END TO CREATION
IT_IS_ALWAYS_THE_BEGINNING_
The
fish of the deep
rise
to the surface
flash
among the waves
and
sink again.
The
birds of the clouds
alight
and mingle their
songs
with the tree's fragrance.
The
earth yields its holdings
to
those who would receive them
and
soon flames dance again
upon
its surface
and
in its depths.
Rainbows
span sea & sky
yet
dwell as well
within
each drop of water
that
falls as rain
or
rises as mist.
AND_ALWAYS_BEFORE_THE_BEGINNING
There
is no moment of creation
perceived
only
the fact
received
that
which one day
would
be us
has
felt a stirring
within
&
is
felt as
a
stirring
within.
Another
day
like
this one
when
fresh breezes blow
across
new meadows
and
flower fragrance
is
counterpoint to color
and
insect hum
is
harmony to leaf rustle
life
which would one day be yours
touches
lightly like a falling petal
dwells
lightly as fallen dew
moves
on to new
beginning.
And
always before the beginning
