Putting things into perspective...
okay?
galactic clouds collide
hurtling star
against star in a cosmic
whirlwind
sucking
all being into a
hole
darker than death
itself
...small potatoes, eh?
Sure! and...
It was but a moment
of galactic time
that roared past
as the earth
in evolutionary lust
thrust forward
into a yielding sky
the mountains
that
for eons more
(which themselves pass in
the blink of an eye)
shook and shuddered
(among mists
of vaporizing diamonds)
shooting
into the boiling cauldron
of planetary creation
the molten matter
of the earth itself
And where, later
...though truly the same moment
still...
the wind
blows a stream of petals
from a tree
to a rock stippled creek
as the now
softened, rounded
mountain
grain by grain
returns unto the earth
itself
easy come; easy go...huh?
So,
tell me,
why
is
each of these minutes
of waiting
for
you
its own eternity
?
